Job Description
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation solutions.
- Responsible for leading the delivery of solutions that automate infrastructure deployment and operations.
- Responsible for investigating automation opportunities to increase speed and efficiency in delivery.
- Responsible for performing automation, integration, and orchestration services while working within the constraints of vendor products and implemented solutions.
- Responsible for monitoring automation executions and help implementation teams as required.
- Accountable for continuous development on automation products, services, protocols, and standards to keep automation best practices.
- Responsible for developing standards to meet on-prem, public cloud and hybrid design.
- Act as an Automation COE member to guide enterprise wide infrastructure automation initiatives.
Key Desired Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- Must have experience with the implementation and operation of Ansible and Terraform automation and orchestration tools (such as Jenkins) and platforms (AAP or any other Cloud Resource Management Tools in the market is a plus).
- Expert level knowledge in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite.
- Experience designing a solution sustainable across a larger audience.
- Core/foundational Infra expertise to drive at an enterprise level automation culture/adoption and build/assist with IaC roadmap.
- Ability to demonstrate persistence in driving change across various departments and ensuring the adoption of innovative practices and methodologies.
- Established best practices in automation, contributing to the organization’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Extensive knowledge & experience with Automation with ability to provide best practice guidance.
- Experience with networking automation.
- Experience using modern development tools and environments (GIT, Docker, Kubernetes,..).
- Mandatory senior experience with Yaml, Python.
- Experience creating pipelines and automation to deploy IaaS & PaaS workloads via CI/CD.
- Experience with metrics gathering, monitoring, and alerting activities.
- Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes and Agile and LEAN principles.
- Knowledge and experience with security and IAM.
- Experience in designing solutions for a 24/7 active environment.
- Architect & design systems integration, & master data management.
- Ability to guide and navigate multiple teams with their automation journey’s.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 4 years of Automation experience.
